About the job:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating qualified sales opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers within our defined target market. This role is critical to building a strong pipeline and accelerating revenue growth.
The BDR will work closely with Account Executives and leadership to support outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, and strategic account targeting.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Identify and research target accounts aligned with Ampliphi’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
- Execute structured outbound campaigns via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Build and maintain high-quality prospect lists.
- Book qualified meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives.
Lead Qualification
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospect needs, challenges, and buying timelines.
- Qualify opportunities based on defined criteria (budget, authority, need, timeline, fit).
- Ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads to Account Executives.
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Accurately document all activities and interactions in HubSpot.
- Maintain clean and organized records of contacts, companies, and opportunities.
- Track outreach performance and conversion metrics.
Collaboration & Market Feedback
- Work closely with marketing to align messaging and campaigns.
- Provide feedback on market response and competitive positioning.
- Contribute insights to improve outreach strategy and targeting.
KPIs & Success Metrics
- Daily/weekly outbound activity targets
- Meetings booked per month
- Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) generated
- Pipeline value created
- Conversion rates from outreach to meeting
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in BDR, SDR, or inside sales in a B2B SaaS environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with cold outreach and high activity levels
- Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM systems
- Highly organized, disciplined, and results-driven
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into Ampliphi’s target vertical
- Familiarity with consultative or value-based selling
- Experience working within a private equity–backed or portfolio company environment
