Job Description:

The Regional Marketing Operations Lead (APAC) is responsible for leading the APAC Marketing Operations team, ensuring the team is aligned to the priorities, operating rhythm, and strategic objectives of the APAC Marketing organisation.

Acting as the operational leader for the team, this role is accountable for resource planning, work prioritisation, stakeholder management, delivery, and team development. The role is ultimately accountable for the quality of everything the team delivers.

The role partners closely with APAC Marketing leaders to develop a strong understanding of regional priorities, products and campaigns, translating business requirements into work plans, processes and high-quality execution. It also builds the capability and business knowledge of the team so it can operate as a trusted extension of the APAC marketing team.

The role is primarily focused on leadership, operational management and capability development, while remaining sufficiently hands-on to support execution, quality assurance and operational problem solving when required.

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to lead a high-performing APAC Marketing Operations Team that serves as a trusted extension of the APAC Marketing organisation.  Through strong leadership, operational excellence and capability development, the role will increase the team’s business understanding, ownership and autonomy while ensuring high-quality delivery aligned to regional marketing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, inspire and develop a multidisciplinary APAC Marketing Operations Team.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture.
  • Support individual development plans and capability building.
  • Lead by example, providing hands-on support for complex initiatives, operational challenges and periods of peak demand.

2. Resource & Capacity Planning

  • Own resource allocation, workload balancing and capacity planning for the team
  • Anticipate resource constraints and implement solutions to sustain delivery.
  • Support hiring, onboarding and workforce planning.

3. Prioritisation & Workflow Management

  • Own intake, prioritisation and allocation of work across the team.
  • Translate regional marketing priorities into operational work plans and delivery schedules.
  • Make day-to-day decisions regarding work sequencing, resource allocation, and delivery priorities.
  • Manage competing priorities across campaigns, projects and BAU activities.

4. Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary operational interface between the APAC Marketing team and the Team.
  • Build trusted relationships with regional marketing stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies and resource constraints proactively.
  • Negotiate priorities with stakeholders to ensure the team remains focused on the highest-value work.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues.

5. Coaching & Performance Management

  • Provide regular coaching, feedback and performance management to improve the quality, consistency, and capability of team members.
  • Build a culture of continuous learning, accountability and collaboration across the team.

6. Operational Excellence & Quality

  • Establish and continuously improve operational processes, governance and quality standards.
  • Review and approve team output to ensure work meets agreed quality, brand and operational standards before delivery
  • Implement quality assurance processes, peer reviews and feedback mechanisms to improve consistency and reduce rework
  • Monitor KPIs, SLAs and delivery performance, identify risks early, and implementing mitigation plans
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across the team.

7. Marketing Operations & Business Partnership

  • Develop a strong understanding of the APAC business, products, campaigns and operating model
  • Partner with regional marketing leaders to translate business priorities into work plans
  • Build the team’s knowledge and capability so it can operate with increased ownership, autonomy and confidence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–3+ years of experience leading or supervising teams.
  • Overall experience of 6 - 8 + years in marketing operations, campaign delivery, creative operations or a related marketing function.
  • Demonstrated people leadership and coaching experience.
  • Experience managing priorities, workloads and capacity planning.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Marketing Operations, campaign execution or marketing delivery experience.
  • Experience working across multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement and influence without authority.
  • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience supporting financial services, asset management or regulated B2B environments is desirable
  • Experience working within matrixed global organisations.
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Automation platforms (Marketo or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of Content Management Systems (AEM or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
